New Delhi: Elon Musk on Friday said that in the near future, Twitter will start paying verified content creators for ad generation, with the first payment phase worth $ 5 million.
“Note, the creator must be verified and only ads served to verified users count,” Musk tweeted.
After Musk acquired Twitter, the social networking site has been struggling to hold the advertisers, who have been worrying about their ad’s placement as the firm laid off numerous employees.
The step came after Twitter’s new CEO Linda Yaccarino, an advertising veteran from NBCUniversal
In March Musk talked about the messaging service, which makes 5 to 6 per cent per hour of attention from the platform’s users and that it could potentially rise to 15 per cent or more with advertisements that are more applicable and timely.

Musk’s Mind for Twitter
Earlier, Musk shared that he intends on building Twitter into an all-inclusive app which will ease users worldwide in making payments, news and food orders.
“Buying Twitter is an accelerant to creating X, the everything app,” Elon Musk tweeted in October before he even bought the platform for $44 billion.
