New Delhi: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) will sell 5,500 MHz of 5G spectrum valued more than Rs 35,000 crore. This comes after the recent airwave auction, which was completed, saw the sale of airwaves valued at Rs 1.5 lakh crore.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has established an internal group to develop a strategy for designating 37. 0-42. 5 GHz as international mobile telecommunications (IMT) bands, allowing telecom businesses to utilise the spectrum. The IMT, also referred to as the millimetre wave band, is helpful for providing 5G fixed wireless access services.
