Delhi To Hand Out Ayushman Bharat Health Cards For Seniors 70+ Today – Free Treatment Up To Rs 10 Lakh | Check Benefits, Eligibilty

Ayushman Bharat Health Cards: To streamline healthcare access across the state, the Delhi government will distribute Ayushman Bharat Health Cards today, April 28, to eligible seniors. The remarkable initiative will be launched by CM Rekha Gupta under the Pradhan Mantri Vay Vandana Yojana at the Thyagaraj Stadium on Monday. The scheme provides healthcare support to citizens aged 70 years or above.

Enrolment Of 1 Lakh Beneficiaries

In its 100-day action plan, the Delhi Government had announced that it would enrol at least 1 lakh beneficiaries within 30 days. Beneficiaries of the scheme will be chosen based on data obtained from the National Food Security Act and the Socio-Economic and Caste Census 2011. Under the recent expansion, citizens aged 70 years and above will also be included. According to sources, accounts that have been generated are being informed about the health cards via SMS.
