Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Uttarakhand's maiden Vande Bharat Express on May 25 which will connect National's Capital to Dehradun. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will also be present on the occasion.
The Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat will reduce travel time between the the two cities. It is estimated that the express will reduce the travel time by around 1 hours and 5 minutes. At present, it takes 6 hours time to reach Dehradun from Delhi.
The launch of Vande Bharat Express will definitely boost tourism sector in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is the land of many tourists destinations as Haridwar, Rishikesh, Auli, Mussoorie and many more. Vande Bharat express will make people's travel more convenient and easier to reach at these destinations and explore the beauty of the State.

The train will take 4 hours 45 minutes to reach Dehradun from New Delhi.
It has total 8 coaches and can accommodate 1,128 passengers. It will pass through Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Roorkee and Haridwar, according to the official statement.
It will depart from Dehradun at 7am and will reach at Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:45 am. The return travel will start from Anand Vihar at 5:30 pm, arriving in Dehradun at 10:35 pm.
The price of chair car ticket is Rs 805 and executive class ticket is Rs 1405.
The train will run at the speed of 100km per hour and it will pick up the speed in just 52 seconds.
The train has new advanced features like biotiolets, GPS-based information systems and automatic sliding doors.
