India restricts Zimbabwe

Harare: Indian bowlers have stunned Zimbabwe in the first ODI as they restricted the host at 189 runs in the first innings.

Deepak Chahar, Prasidh Krishna and Axar Patel clicked three wicket each to bowl out the opposition by 40.3 overs.

Captain Regis Chakabva remained the high scorer for 35 runs followed by Richard Ngarava (34) and Brad Evans (33).

India side created the pressure from the start and took 4 wickets by start of 11th over. Zimbabwe openers Innocent Kaia and T Marumani were sent back for 4 and 8 runs respectively.

Sean Williams followed them for just a single run and Madhevere became the third victim of Chahar after 10.1 overs. Raza was gone for 12 in 17th over and Ryan Burl for 11 runs.
