From Saturday, CNG will cost Rs. 87.89 per kg in Gurugram. The most expensive CNG is available in Gurugram.
Since October of last year, when domestic and international gas prices began to rise, gas distributors have raised prices on a regular basis. It was increased by two rupees earlier in May, and by three rupees on October 8.
In the last nine months, CNG prices in Delhi have risen by more than 20 rupees. In March of this year, the price of CNG in Delhi was around 58 rupees, but it will be priced at Rs 79.56 beginning Saturday.
Gas is used in the production of fertiliser as well as the generation of electricity. It is also converted into CNG and piped to residential kitchens for cooking. A sharp increase in prices is likely to result in higher rates for CNG and piped natural gas (PNG), which have risen by more than 70% in the last year.
