Government Schemes for Women: The Central Government is running several schemes to improve the standard of living of the common people across the country and to empower them financially. One of these schemes is Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana) has started for pregnant women. Its purpose is to empower women across the country.
Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana details
The Central Government launched the ‘Matrutva Vandana Yojana’ (PMMVY) on January 1, 2017 to prevent the problem of malnourished children across the country. Financial support is provided to expected women under this scheme which is started by Government. The Government helps with Rs 6000 for the care of newborn children and the prevention of diseases. The age of pregnant women should be less than 19 years for taking advantage of this scheme.
Rs 6000 directly to women’s account
This Scheme is only for women. They get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY). The help amount of Rs 6000 is directly transferred to the women’s account. The amount is provided in three instalments. The first instalment is Rs 1000, the second instalment is Rs 2000 and the third instalment is Rs 2000. While the last instalment of Rs 1000 is given to the hospital at the time of the birth of the child.
