Check EPF Balance with Missed Call
If you have registered your mobile number on the UAN (Universal Account Number) portal and completed KYC with your UAN, you can check your EPF balance by making a missed call. You need to Dial 011-22901406 from the registered mobile number. After two rings, the call will be automatically disconnected and you will receive an SMS with the details of your balance and the last contribution made to your PF account.
How to check EPF balance with SMS
By registering your UAN with EPFO, you can quickly check your PF balance by sending an SMS. Send a text message with the subject EPFOHO UAN ENG where UAN is your unique UAN and ENG is the first three letters of your preferred language. Send this message to 7738299899 and you will receive a reply with your PF balance details.
Check EPF balance using EPFO Online Portal

- visit the EPFO website
- Go to the “Our Services” section and then select “For Employees”.
- Click on “Services” and choose the “Member Passbook” option.
- Enter your UAN and password to view your passbook.
It is important to note that your UAN must be verified and activated by your employer to avail of these services.
Step to check EPF Balance using UMANG Mobile App
The Union government has introduced the UMANG app to simplify the process of checking your PF balance. In addition to consulting your booklet, the application allows you to easily receive and track claims. To get started, register in the app by entering the one-time password sent to your mobile number.
