With this, she will become the country’s first Finance Minister to present the Union Budget for the 8th consecutive time.

She is paying a special tribute to Madhubani Art and Padma awardee Dulari Devi by wearing a stunning saree designed by the artist herself. Dulari Devi gifted the saree to Sitharaman, requesting her to wear it on Budget day. Dulari Devi, a 2021 Padma Shri awardee, is celebrated for her contributions to Madhubani art, a traditional style originating from the Mithila region of Bihar, typically characterized by intricate designs and vibrant colors.
