Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infrastructure is all set to foray into the renewable energy equipment manufacturing segment to enhance its business gamut, the news agency PTI reported. The company has made crucial appointments to lead the business.
According to the report, the company has brought Ivan Saha as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Renewable Manufacturing and Mushtaque Hussain as CEO of Battery Manufacturing.
Reliance infrastructure deals in the business of Metro rails, power distribution, and toll roads. Sources said the company has decided to venture into manufacturing renewable energy equipment space.
Ivan Saha will lead the solar manufacturing section. He has 30 years of experience in solar technology and semiconductors. He has served companies like Vikram Solar and ReNew Power.
The integrated battery manufacturing unit, led by Hussain, would develop advanced energy solutions for grid solutions and electric mobility. Hussain has splendid experience in the automotive, renewable energy, consumer electronics, and power tools sectors.
Hussain has contributed to leading organisations like Reliance Industries Limited and Tesla.
