Bank Holidays August 2023: July is coming to an end and August is about to begin in a couple of days. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a holidays list of August on which banks will remain closed for national or regional festivals and special observances. Banks will be shut for a total of 14 days in the August. The list includes weekends as well.
It is noted that many festivals, including Independence Day, Raksha Bandhan are being celebrated in August. Besides these festivals, August also includes some 6 weekly holidays, including Sundays and 2nd-4th Saturdays.
Besides Sundays, banks work on the first and third Saturdays of the month, while banks have a holiday on the second and fourth Saturdays. There will be weekly holidays on 6th, 12th, 13th, 20th, 26th and 27th of August on Saturday and Sunday.
Bank Holiday will also be closed on national festivals and regional festivals which are celebrated in different states across the country.
The list is for the convenience of people too that before going to bank they can check the bank holidays on the official website of RBI. If you do not do this, then it should not happen that you reach the bank and find the lock hanging there.

The Bank will be closed for 14 days in month of August at different places in India. So, without any delay, you can complete all the bank work in a proper way.
It is to inform that though the banks’ branches will remain closed, you can do bank related work online from home. This facility is operational for 24 hours.
