Bank Holidays April 2023: March will end with this week and April is approaching. April month is important as it marks the beginning of the financial year 2023-24. Every month all banks are closed according to the holiday list of RBI. This article is informative for you because a full list of bank holidays in April 2023 is prepared for your convenience. Before initiating any important banking work, check the bank holiday list of April. According to the holidays’ list released by RBI, banks will be closed for 15 days in the Upcoming month. There are total 15 bank holidays in April 2023, including fourth Saturdays and all Sundays.

The Reserve Bank of India issues a list of bank holidays every month so that customers do not face problems due to the closure of banks. Many festivals will be celebrated in different states across the country in the upcoming month. Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday, Ambedkar Jayanti, Annual Closing and many more festivals are listed. To avoid any problem with banking operations like depositing checks or withdrawing money, do check the list of bank holidays provided by RBI.

Bank holidays cause disruption, but online facilities such as net banking and mobile banking remain operational, allowing customers to transact between accounts. UPI is also an easy way.

List of Bank Holidays in April of 2023

1 April 2023 – Banks will remain closed due to annual closing across the country except Aizawl, Shillong, Shimla and Chandigarh.

2 April 2023– Sunday is a holiday in banks across the country.

4 April 2023- Banks will remain closed in various cities due to Mahavir Jayanti.

April 5, 2023 – Banks will remain closed in Hyderabad on account of the birth anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram.

April 7, 2023 – Banks will remain closed across the country except Agartala, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Shimla and Srinagar due to Good Friday.

April 8, 2023– Banks will remain closed across the country due to the second Saturday.

9 April 2023– Sunday is a holiday in banks across the country.

April 14, 2023 – Due to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, banks will remain closed across the country except Aizawl, Bhopal, New Delhi, Raipur, Shillong and Shimla.

15 April 2023- Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Shimla and Thiruvananthapuram on account of Vishu, Bohag Bihu, Himachal Day and Bengali New Year.

16 April 2023 – Sunday is a holiday in banks across the country.

April 18, 2023 – Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on account of Shab-e-Qadr.

April 21, 2023- Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram due to Eid-ul-Fitr.

22 April 2023- Banks will remain closed at many places due to Eid and fourth Saturday.

23 April 2023 – Sunday is a holiday in banks across the country.

30 April 2023- Sunday is a holiday in banks across the country.
