Chhath Puja is a four-day festival celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh, and parts of Nepal. It is dedicated to thanking nature, with devotees worshipping the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya, the goddess of birth and creation. Dovotees observe a stringent 36-hour fast during Chhath Puja seeking well-being, prosperity and longevity for their children and family members.
