Banks will be closed on September 5, 2025, for Onam, one of the most widely celebrated festivals in the state. During this time, most routine transactions, such as mobile banking apps, internet banking, and fund transfers, can be handled digitally. However, certain services would require a branch visit.

On September 5, 2025, banks will observe closure due to Id-e-Milad in the following places:

Thereafter, on Saturday, September 6, banks will remain closed in Jammu, Srinagar, and Gangtok on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad/Indrajatra. Apart from festivals and regional observances, banks will, as usual, remain shut on all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Please note that all banks will be closed on Sunday, September 7, in accordance with RBI Guidelines.
