Most banks across the country will remain closed on Navarthri festival till October 2. The ban closure was also due to Gandhi Jayanti, which is observed as a national holiday. However, banks in Gangtok city of Sikkim will remain shut on October 3(Friday). The closure is a part of Durga Puja(Dasain). According to various reports, October 4(Saturday) will also see the bank closure in this city. Other cities will have banks open on Friday. October 5, which is Sunday will be a Pan-India holiday.
