Amul has announced a reduction in the prices of its popular milk variants—Amul Gold, Amul Shakti, and Amul Fresh—by Re 1 per kilogram. Amul comes under the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF). Managing Director Jayen Mehta confirmed that the new rates will be effective starting January 24, 2025.

“Amul has reduced the price by Rs 1 for 1 kg packs of Amul Gold, Amul Taaza, and Amul Tea Special,” Mehta told news agency ANI.
New Prices
The price reduction applies to the 1 kg packs of the mentioned milk variants, making Amul Gold, Amul Taaza, and Amul Tea Special more affordable for consumers.
“This decision has been made to benefit our consumers while maintaining the high quality of our products. The new pricing structure demonstrates our ongoing commitment to better serving our customers.”added Jayen Mehta.
In Gujarat, 18,600 village cooperatives collect milk from farmers every day. By 7 am., milk is gathered at automated centers, where its quality and fat content are measured. Payments to farmers are based on these metrics and are directly transferred to their bank accounts.
