Airtel Updates Rs 509 & Rs 1,999 Prepaid Plans To Meet TRAI Guidelines – What It Means For Public?

Bharti Airtel has updated its prepaid plans, specifically the Rs 509 and Rs 1,999 offerings, to comply with new guidelines set by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

Bharti Airtel, one of the biggest telecom companies in India, has made some changes to its prepaid plans of Rs 509 and 1999 to follow new rules from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). These rules say that telecom operators must offer Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) with voice and SMS services.

Rs 509 Prepaid Plan

The updated Rs 509 plan is for people who mainly want unlimited voice calls and 900 free SMS, and don’t use much mobile data. This plan is valid for 84 days. It also gives extra benefits like free access to the Airtel Xstream app, Apollo 24/7 Circle membership, and free Hello Tunes. Earlier, this plan included 6GB of data, but now it doesn’t, so the benefits have been reduced.

If you need mobile data along with unlimited voice calls and SMS, the Rs 569 plan might be a better option. It offers the same validity, voice, and SMS benefits as the Rs 509 plan, but with 6GB of data.

Rs 1,999 Annual Prepaid Plan

Airtel has also updated its Rs 1,999 annual plan. This plan used to offer unlimited voice calls, 3000 free SMS, and 24GB of data. However, now it no longer includes mobile data. It still gives free access to Airtel Xstream, Apollo 24/7 Circle membership, and free Hello Tunes. These changes are part of Airtel’s efforts to comply with TRAI’s new guidelines.
