World’s richest person Elon Musk’s company Starlink will soon start its services in Bangladesh. At Present, Starlink is providing satellite internet services to over 100 nations, and soon Bangladesh will join the list. The interim government of Bangladesh claimed that Starlink will start its services in the country.
Bangladesh chief adviser Muhammad Yunus shared the news through a tweet. He posted on X, “Had a great meeting with Mr @elonmusk. We agreed to work together. Hoping to launch Starlink in Bangladesh soon together with him.” However, Elon Musk’s Starlink has not officially responded to the development.
Yunus said on X that Bangladesh will soon have high-speed satellite internet service, which would bridge the gap in digital service in the country. He said it will boost the economy and other sectors like health and education. It will help small businesses to showcase their products on global platforms. It would create employment in the country, he added.
After starting its services in Bhutan, Musk’s company has applied for a license in India. Recently, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the latter’s visit to Washington DC. It is expected that soon Starlink will start its services in India. Starlink and Amazon will soon launch their satellite internet service, and the companies are planning to use low-earth satellites.
