7th Pay Commission: There is once again big good news for over 1 crore central government employees and pensioners. Once again their dearness allowance and dearness relief can be increased by 4 per cent. If this happens, their dearness allowance will increase from 42 per cent to 46 per cent.

It is noted that dearness allowance (DA) of central employees and dearness relief (DR) of pensioners are reviewed twice a year. The first DA hike is given in January and the second will be hiked in July. The proposed increase will depend on inflation. There is bound to be an increase in the allowances received by central employees in proportion to inflation.

According to media, the central employees can get the good news of 4 per cent increase in dearness allowance in July this year as well. These people say that the central government can continue the trend of increasing DA by 4 per cent, because for the last two times the central government has been increasing dearness allowance by 4 percent continuously for the last two times. For the first time, July 2022 DA was increased by 4 percent from 34 percent to 38 percent.

After this, on March 24, 2023, the dearness allowance (DA Hike) of central employees was increased by 4 percent. After this DA went from 38 to 42 percent. Now people’s eyes are fixed on the next dearness allowance which is to be announced in July 2023.

Regarding the increase in dearness allowance in July, experts also say that the way inflation is and the figures of CPI-IW for two months have come, it is clear that in the coming days, DA and DR will also be increased by 4 percent. Chances are If this happens, the dearness allowance, which has reached 42 per cent, may jump to 46 per cent in July. However, after the arrival of new figures of AICPI, it will be further decided whether the government will increase DA by 3 percent or 4 percent.

After this increase in DA Hike and DA Hike, once again a big increase can be registered in the salary and pension of about 47.58 lakh central employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners. Significantly, DA is based on the basic salary of the employee. Increase in DA increases your take-home salary.
