7th Pay Commission: There is good news for central employees and pensioners. After 4 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) and Dearness Relief (DR Hike) in March, once again they are going to get a big gift. However, this gift will be available in the month of July. Actually DA and DR are reviewed twice a year. The first is in January and the second is in July. In such a situation, it is expected that the next increase in DA-DR will be in the month of July.

DA to be hiked by 4 % in July

At present, it is not clear how much this increase will be. Actually, how much this increase will be in DA and DR depends on the inflation figures. There is bound to be an increase in the allowances received by central employees in proportion to inflation. According to reports, the central government may gift a 4 percent increase in dearness allowance to central employees and pensioners in July as well. If this happens, then the dearness allowance of central employees will jump from the current 42 per cent to 46 per cent directly.

Government to increase DA by 4 %

There are speculations that the central government may continue the trend of four per cent hike in DA and DR. In fact, for the last two times, the central government has been increasing the dearness allowance by 4 percent continuously for the last two times. For the first time, July 2022 DA was increased by 4 percent from 34 percent to 38 percent.

DA and DR will increase again in July 2023

After this, on March 24, 2023, the dearness allowance (DA Hike) of central employees was increased by 4 percent. After this DA went from 38 to 42 percent. Now people’s eyes are fixed on the next dearness allowance which is to be announced in July 2023.

Revision in DA happens in January and July

Regarding the increase in dearness allowance in July, experts also say that the way inflation is and the figures of CPI-IW for two months have come, it is clear that in the coming days, DA and DR will also be increased by 4 percent. Chances are If this happens, the dearness allowance, which has reached 42 per cent, may jump to 46 per cent in July. However, after the arrival of new figures of AICPI, it will be further decided whether the government will increase DA by 3 percent or 4 percent.

Over 1 crore staff will be benefited

Let us tell you that after this increase in DA Hike and DA Hike, once again a big increase can be registered in the salary and pension of about 47.58 lakh central employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners. Significantly, DA is based on the basic salary of the employee. Increase in DA increases your take-home salary.
