7th Pay Commission: The Labor Ministry has released the June 2023 AICPI index figures. It showed a big jump in the AICPI index for June. The AICPI index recorded at 134.7 points in May. While it is recorded at 136.4 points in June. Therefore, the AICPI index is increased by 1.7 points in June. The employees are excited to know the index data and eagerly waiting for the official announcement for the DA hike by nearly 50%.

According to the May data, the total DA Hike score was 45.58 %, which has increased to 46.24 per cent in June. After this, it is now almost decided that the dearness allowance of central employees will be increased by 4 percent.

Hiked rates to come into effect from 1 July 2023

The central employees and pensioners are waiting for the official announcement from the government. If everything goes well, the central government may announce an increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief in September. However, the new hiked DA rates will be coming into effect from July 1, 2023.

Annual hike in salary

There is a possibility of an annual increase in the salary of central employees from Rs 8,640 to Rs 27,312. Talking about the monthly increase, it can range from Rs 720 to Rs 2276.
