7th Pay commission: In an attempt to provide big good new to government employees, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu announced a rise of dearness allowance for government employees and retirees. It is actually a unique gift for all the government on the occasion of 76th Himachal day.
It is informed that over 2.15 lakh employees and 1.9Lakh retirees have been benefitted since the dearance allowance of government workers was hiked from 31% to 34%. The State exchequer will have to shoulder a national burden of Rs 500 crore
Himachal Pradesh government’s increase has come after hike in DA from the Centre and some state governments. The Union government recently gives its employees and pensioners 42 per cent dearness allowance with the hike 4%.

Monthly stipend to women

CM’s other announcements
In addition to DA hike and monthly stipend to women , the Himachal Pradesh government declared to open the 50-bed Community Health Center and a college in Kaza. The state government will request that the Ministry of Defense build an airfield at Rangrik in the Spiti Valley at the same time. This observatory will also be built alongside it. The Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School will be built on land close to Kaza.
