Akasa Air: There is good news for air travelers. Akasa Air has started services from today. It was inaugurated by Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Union Minister of State VK Singh was also present with him on this occasion. Akasa airline’s first commercial flight has been done between Mumbai-Ahmedabad.
The first flight of Akasa Air will leave Mumbai at 10.05 am and reach Ahmedabad at 11:25 am. Akasa Air will start its service from August 13 on more routes. Akasa Air will start its service for Bengaluru-Kochi from 13th August, Bengaluru-Mumbai from 19th August and Chennai-Mumbai from 15th September.
Earlier on Friday, stock market veteran Rakesh Jhunjhuwala had said that he would use the Boeing 737 Max aircraft for his airline Akasa Air.
Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and his wife have the largest stake in Akasa Air. Together, their total stake in this airline company is 45.97 percent. Apart from this, Vinay Dubey, Sanjay Dubey, Neeraj Dubey, Madhav Bhatkuli, PAR Capital Ventures, Karthik Verma are also promoters of Akasa Air.
Vinay Dubey, the largest shareholder after Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, has 16.13 percent stake in Akasa Air.
Akasa Air has kept the minimum one-way fare from Mumbai to Ahmedabad at Rs 3,948. It is believed that Akasa Air will compete with IndiGo and Tata Group owned Air India in the domestic aviation sector.
