THIS SUV from Kia Motors will take market by storm … Know launch date, price, specifications

New Dehi: People in India are eagerly waiting for the SUV Sonet of South Korean carmaker Kia Motors.

This car is likely to be launched in India by August. According to media reports, the compact SUV is expected to be launched at an initial price of Rs 8 lakh.

The car was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 in India in February. Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is the most popular in the compact SUV category right now.

Kia Motors has indicated to launch it with the arrival of the festive season. Kia Motors India head, Manohar Bhat says Kia Motors’ business remained on track even after the Corona transition.

They are likely to have a clutchless manual gearbox, which is new to this segment. It will have a manual gear, but will not have a clutch. The compact SUV features the company’s signature tiger-nose grille and headlight design.

Just below the headlamps, there are large air dams. Red LED strip is given below it. It has a touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, phone connectivity, steering mounted control and other features. Ventilated seats, cruise control, sunroof and wireless phone charger are available in the top variants of the car.

The Kia Sonet SUV will take on the Maruti Vitara Brezza in the market. Brezza also holds the record for the best-selling compact SUV. Maruti Suzuki says that its compact SUV, the Vitara Brezza, has crossed the sales mark of five lakh units within four years.

The 1.5 liter K15B petrol engine in the car generates a power of 105hp at 6000rpm and 138Nm of torque at 4600rpm. It has a 5-speed manual as well as a 4-speed automatic transmission.
