New Delhi: Yulu, the country’s shared EV mobility tech company, has launched two new electric motorcycles in India. Developed from Chetak Technologies Limited, these models of the company have been named Miracle GR and Dex GR. This company is a partner of Bajaj’s EV segment.
So much top speed
The new Miracle GR and DeX electric bike models are built on the same platform and underpinnings. In these, telescopic front fork and twin shock absorber have been given in the rear. Drum brakes have been given on both its wheels. The new Yulu e-bike gets an electronically limited top speed of 25 kmph.
Already on sale
The Yulu Miracle GR and DX GR get a hub-mounted motor. It has an LED headlight, LED tail-lamp and a center stand. A rear rack has been added to the DeX GR e-bike, which has a payload capacity of 15 kg. Yulu has already started selling the DeX GR e-bikes wherever the company has outlets.
40% is saved
Deliveries of over 50,000 electric vehicles built on Yulu’s shared platform have been completed. Yulu claims to offer mobility solutions on its platform. In which the running cost is up to 40% less as compared to traditional fuel driven vehicles.
Company is setting up battery swapping station
Yulu has also highlighted its collaboration with Magna for a battery swapping network. Yulu and Magna, a joint venture company of Yuma Energy, provide ‘battery-as-a-service’ for electric two-wheelers. Magna invested $77 million to set up this joint venture in September 2022 and the service is slated to begin on February 2, 2023. Yulu, which works on swappable batteries, has around 100 battery swapping stations in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi. The company plans to increase the number of these stations to 500 by the year 2024.
Yulu app
People can use the Yulu app to find and use this e-bike. Helmet and driving license are not required to ride this e bike. Yulu has said that using the Yulu app, you can locate a Yulu vehicle near you, and to unlock it, you have to scan the QR code on the bike panel. Also, at the end of the ride, the user can park and lock the bike.
