Yamaha’s FZ has been a formidable moniker in the sub 200cc segment, Bit with the sustainability Race Upon Us, Yamaha seeks to expand the line up further. As per a recent report regarding Yamaha patenting an all new Hybrid 149 cc FZ in India, its possible that a new entrant might be launched in the market soon.
In the recent past, the brand has launched a Hybrid version of its scooter the Ray Z and its possible that it would soon add to the list a new Hybrid variant of the FZ As well. The existing Hybrid FZ is the priciest variant right now at Rs 1.45 lakh. Hence its possible that the brand might be planning to launch a more affordable Hybrid version for better market penetration.
To keep the prices low its possible that the bike might be launched without features such as the TFT instrument panel and a few other styling elements that adorn the higher spec variants. Other excluded features might also include painted alloy wheels. A report by Rushlane has reported that the bike might be priced at Rs 1.4 lakh.

The 149 cc blue core engine is the first of its kind, the bike has a starter motor to aid start stop system and further aid the drive of the bike. Fuel efficiency is higher than the conventional petrol powered bike since the bike can shut off while stopping. Battery assisted pick up further aids the bike to achieve better performance.
