Hybrid Powertrains are known for offering the users with the best of both worlds, assistance of EV prowess as well as practicality of a normal petrol powered bike. While there have been expectations of manufacturers opting for an all out EV manufacturing, Yamaha has added another element to the mix. Hybrid bikes would be the next go to choice for many due to their capability to offer better mileage.
The newest innovation in the motorcycle industry is the 150 cc 2025 FZ S- Fi Hybrid. This would possibly be the first bike in the whole segment to offer Hybrid functionality. Although it’s a mild Hybrid system similar to the ones we have seen on the Ray-Z scooters this technology would most certainly improve the overall fuel efficiency of the bike.
While the bike has been given a New Hybrid system it has also gained new sharper styling elements. Beyond that the bike has a re-designed tank and a aerodynamic profile with integrated turn signals and air intakes. Beyond that the bike has now been given two new color options that include the racing Blue as well as a metallic grey.
New Additions
The Hybrid version would witness the addition of a new Smart Motor generator and a stop-start system. These technologies would ensure that the bike has quieter starts, and further battery-assisted acceleration helping in faster pick-up along with improved fuel efficiency. The System works by shutting the engine when it’s idling and restarting it as soon as the clutch is pressed to improve the overall fuel efficiency. The bike would be powered by the same air-cooled 4-stroke SOHC, 2 valve per cylinder engine that churns out 12.4 ps of peak power along with a max torque of 13.3 Nm.
Fuel Efficiency Improvements
As per the owners the bike is capable of providing a mileage of 45 Kmpl. But with the addition of new Hybrid system the mileage figure should increase. Its possible that the bike might be able to extend till 50kmpl or above as well. Specially if you ride in stop and go traffic a lot.
