Upon the recent launch of Maruti Suzuki’s all-new charger infrastructure, News 24 got the chance to converse with Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive, Marketing and Sales, MSIL. During a brief colloquy, we asked him the questions that all auto enthusiasts have been eager to know. Here’s everything you need to know.

Sir, the E-Vitara will soon be launched. Would you like to enlighten our viewers about the new charging infrastructure that Suzuki has recently introduced?

“The E-Vitara will be with you very shortly. The bookings for the vehicle will begin soon before the New Year. We have now showcased the infrastructure that will support the next-generation EV vehicles that Suzuki will soon be unveiling in the market,” he said.

He added that every major city will soon have a fast charger within a distance of 10 km. “It is our aim to provide all EV users with fast chargers along the way, no matter where they plan to travel within the country. Beyond that, we have equipped 1,500 workshops across the country to be able to work on EV vehicles with ease.”

“We have trained a workforce of 1.5 lakh personnel who will be at our users’ service whenever they need help. We have promised a range of 500 km, and ARAI has certified a range of close to 543 km. Talking about safety, Nitin Gadkari himself has awarded us for achieving a 5-star safety rating for our cars. We have ensured that the new E-Vitara can easily tackle all the concerns that users generally face with EV vehicles.”

“We have ensured that all metropolitan cities are equipped with Suzuki fast chargers within a span of 10 km.”

To demonstrate the practicality and usability of their infrastructure, Suzuki has flagged off four cars to different corners of the nation. One car will drive to Kanyakumari, another to Bhuj, a third to Kaziranga, and the last one will head to Kashmir. “With such extreme drives, we will prove that the infrastructure needed for EV vehicles is ready,” he added.
