Volkswagen has launched the all new Tiguan R line at a premium price of Rs 49 lakh Ex showroom. The new variant of the car has been poised towards users who seek a more aggressive as well as sportier version of the SUV in its sportier R line avatar. Bookings are now open for the new Tiguan and deliveries of the vehicle are to start from April 23. The car would be brought in as a CBU Import unit in India.
Tiguan R line Price
The Car has been launched at a price of Rs 49 lakh. This is a hefty price increase of more than Rs 10 Lakh over the outgoing model which was priced at Rs 38.17 lakh the last time.
Interior
The Interior has been given a significant update with a 15 inch infotainment screen placed in the middle along with an all black cabin theme. The interior further has silver inserts all over, that give the interiors a much needed contrast while adding a premium touch. Since the car would be a CBU import the interiors have been laden with premium materials and specialty R badging in the seats.
Tiguan R Line Features
The Car has further been equipped with a 10.25 inch driver display, a three zone climate control system as well as a massage function on the front row seats. Beyond that the vehicle also gets 30 color ambient lighting and wireless charging and panoramic sunroof. Safety features of the car include a 9 air bag setup , level 2- ADAS , ABS and EBD. All four disc brakes, a 360 Degree camera ,electronic parking brake and front and rear parking sensors as well.
Powertrain
The Tiguan R Line is powered by the same engine that powered the outgoing model. The 2 liter- Turbo -Petrol Engine , which has now been tuned to generate an output of about 204 Ps and 320 Nm peak Torque. The engine has been paired with a 7 speed DCT gearbox which sends power to all four wheels.
