Volkswagen’s Tiguan is already a formidable force in the market, But the brand has been planning to launch a new R version of the the already famous Tiguan .These would further increase the prowess of the brand in the segment and help it reach new horizons. Over its predecessors, the car would feature a completely new design, more features, and more importantly more significant power figures.
Design Changes
Being offered as an improved version of the already existing Tiguan, this car could be the best go to choice for enthusiasts who seek a more powerful SUV than that of the docile normal Tiguan. The front fascia of the new variant would likely get a redesign and beyond that new gloss black accents might be added to improve the overall appearance of the car.
The new front Fascia would make room for an integrated air intake and chrome accents as well. The R-Line would get 19-inch alloys, a sportier spoiler, and a new design from the bumper to the exhaust.
Interior Changes
The interior of the vehicle would be different to that of the current generation Model. Being a Volkswagen, the interior would not be riddled the sharp lines and curves seen readily on Koran Suv’s. Rather, it would be understated and have a digital instrument cluster that would showcase that the map is necessary with a simple screen in the middle of the dash.
Powertrain
The Tiguan-R Line would be powered by a 2- Litre Turbo Petrol Engine that churns out 265 Ps of power and would be mated to a 7-speed Dct transmission. Compared to that of the out going model, the new model would have a 75 Ps power increase.
The Car is expected to be launched at a price of Rs 50 lakh ex-showroom. A significant price hike from the current gen model that is available for Rs 38.16 Lakh. The Car would be launched on 14th of April.
