Volkswagen has been going through a transition. Over the years the German Brand has gained formidable experience about the Indian market and their new offerings are doing rather well. Following the same routine Volkswagen has been gearing up for new launches in 2025. Its possible that Volkswagen might unveil a few of its new offerings in the market in the Auto Expo 2025.
Taigun Facelift
Considering the heavy competition in the Indian Sub 4 meter compact SUV market, Volkswagen has decided to provide Taigun with a fresh new look for the new year. The car would be powered by the same engine but would come with new cosmetic changes such as a new grill, headlamps and a front bumper. Beyond that the car might also get a host of new safety features such as ADAS level 2 collision warning systems and collision avoidance system as well. Its also possible that Volkswagen might add a Panoramic Sun Roof to certain variants of Taigun as well. Being powered by the same engine the car would have a 1.5 liter Turbocharged petrol on offer as well a s a 1.0 Liter Turbocharged engine.
Volkswagen Golf
Volkswagen Golf would be the top of the line HALO vehicle for Volkswagen. The car would be brought to Indian shores in limited numbers at first and would have an expected price tag of around 40 Lakh Rs. The car would be powered by a 2.0 Litre Four cylinder Turbo engine that churns out the max output of around 265 BHP with a peak torque output of around 370 Nm. In the global market the engine is partnered with a 7 speed DCT gearbox that powers the front wheels.
Golf Pricing
The car would be in a segment of its own , considering the limited numbers in which the car would be imported. As of yet its believed that the car would be priced around 40 lakh Rs. It would compete against the likes of Mini Cooper S, as well as the Octavia RS if Skoda plans to unveil it in January.
Volkswagen ID.4
As per reports Volkswagen had already showcased the new and updated ID.4 in India in a Brand Conference. While Volkswagen had quashed their plans to bring the new ID.4 in India earlier it seems that the brand might launch the vehicle soon at the Bharat Mobility Expo.
The ID.4 could be Volkswagen’s first electric vehicle in India, and it could be the most expensive Volkswagen currently on sale in India. The Car is built on the MEB platform and is globally available with a 52KWH as well as a 77KWH Battery pack. The car offers around 340km to 500 km range on a single charge.
Volkswagen ID Buzz
The ID Buzz is another EV vehicle that is quite famous in the global market. The vehicle has been built from scratch based on the ideology of the old Volkswagen Camper van that was powered by a air cooled engine. Beyond that the vehicle has the same MEB platform seen on the ID4. In the Global market the vehicle is available with two powertrains a single rear mounted motor that produces about 280 Horse Power. The other powertrain option is that of a two motor setup with a 335 Horse Power motor with a 234 mile range on a single full charge. The vehicle is quite famous in the international market, although there have not been any official correspondence about the vehicle coming to India. But Since Volkswagen is bringing the Golf, to India The ID Buzz might be the next car to sail to our shores.
