VinFast Vietnam’s auto manufacturer is about to debut in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The VF3 would be the newest addition to the line up offering unmatched convenience for everyone.

As per the official website the VF3 has a space maximizing design that makes its interior way more roomy than they might appear from the size of the vehicle. The elegant and youthful interior has been crafted using the most sustainable materials.

Technical Specifications

The VinFast VF3 has been powered by the 01 motor. The max power that the motor has been able to produce would be around 42 KWH, and max torque would be around 110 nm. The car has a acceleration time of around 5.3 seconds to reach from 0 to a 50 km/h. The car accepts fast charging and can easily be charged with Dc chargers in 36 minutes. The car has a Rear wheel drive setup.

History of VinFast

It was in the year 2017 that Vin group established VinFast. The company started out from their 828 acre facility in an industrial car park located on the cat Hai Island near the city of Hai Phong Vietnam. This facility although the first initial step of the company, had it all. It had a Press shop, Assembly Shop, Engine shop and a Paint shop. Beyond that the whole manufacturing plant was erected in the record time of just 21 months.

The manufacturer is known for their rather unorthodox style of managing the ideation and designing of the vehicles. It was in the year 2017 that Vinfast posted their initial renderings online. After that the manufacturer asked the Vietnamese consumers to vote about the designs they liked the most. The manufacturer received about 60,000 votes for design rendering’s of studios such as Italdesign Giugiario, Pininfarina, Torino Design and Zagato.

As per stats reported by Reuters, VinFast had only, made 7,400 car sales in 2022, all of which occurred in Vietnam. The company had set itself a target of 50,000 car sales globally for 2023. As per their chairwoman, Le Thi Thu Thuy the company had witnessed a sales figure of around 40,000-50,000 in 2024.

Operations In India

As per the official website the company would be going on their expansion in India. The company plans to establish a state of the art Integrated EV manufacturing plant at Thoothukudi in Southern Tamil Nadu.

As Per The Official Word By The VinFast Team

“We highly value the Indian government’s new EV scheme as it aims to drive large investments in manufacturing, create competencies and upskilling, set up a robust supply chain and offer consumers world-class, zero tailpipe emission vehicles,” Pham Sanh Chau, Chief Executive Officer of VinFast India, said.

In January, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tamil Nadu government. They would further set up an integrated EV plant in the state. As per the official word the company would bring in CKD the EV’s and assemble them in the plant for further sales in India. The plant that company plans to establish in Tamil Nadu would have a initial capacity of churning out 50,000 vehicles Per Anum.
