TVS RTX 300, the much-awaited adventure tourer from TVS, is expected to launch soon. This will be the first bike to be powered by the all-new RT-XD4 engine. The TVS RTX 300 has been spied a couple of times, and as per a report by Autocar, it’s probable that the bike might be launched soon.
TVS RTX 300
The bike will be equipped with the all-new 300cc RT-XD4 engine, which was unveiled at the 2024 edition of Motosoul. This RT-XD4 engine is said to put out 35 HP at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The bike will be mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Patent filing images have showcased that the bike will be using 19/17-inch (front/rear) alloy wheels, making the upcoming bike a long-distance tourer rather than a hardcore off-road machine.
TVS RTX 300 Chassis and Design
The chassis of the bike will comprise a trellis frame and have a bolt-on rear subframe, suspended by a USD fork and a monoshock at the rear. The overall stance of the bike makes it appear more like a larger European ADV tourer. The bike has a striking resemblance to the likes of the Triumph Tiger as well.
Since the bike will be going against a host of new bikes, it will be well equipped with top-of-the-line tech features like quickshifter, traction control, and multiple rider modes, likely to be offered thanks to the presence of a ride-by-wire throttle.
The bike will go against the likes of the KTM 250 Adventure at the entry level and stretch up to compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, with pricing expected to fall somewhere close.
