After briefly showcasing their first adventure bike at the Bharat Mobility Show, TVS is now fully set to unveil their new adventure bike, the TVS RTX 300, today at around 4 PM on the official YouTube channel of the brand. The new bike will mark TVS’s entry into the 300cc adventure motorcycle segment, which has been gaining a lot of prominence in the recent past.
With the soaring passion for weekend trips and getaways among youngsters, the RTX will be catering to a market dynamic that is highly volatile and can easily spot an ace when necessary.
Appearance
In terms of looks, the adventure bike will feature a tall windscreen, sharp front fairing, beak-style fender, and split seat design, which will give the bike a rugged appeal. As per the time we were able to witness the bike briefly, we noticed that the bike has been based around a trellis frame chassis and has USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Media reports suggest that the bike will have a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel, wrapped in rubber that will make the bike suitable for road and off-roading purposes.
Engine and Performance
The bike is expected to feature an all-new 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that has been named the RTXD4. The motor will be able to churn out 35 hp and 28.5 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be paired with a slipper clutch for smoother gear changes. The bike promises high performance and easy handling.
Expected Price
The TVS RTX is likely to be priced between Rs 2.5 – Rs 2.8 lakh. If the bike is launched at the above-mentioned price, it will go against the likes of KTM 250 Adventure and Yezdi Adventure.
