TVS has unveiled its latest powerhouse, the Apache RTR 310, in the Indian motorcycle scene. Based on the acclaimed Apache RR 310, this new offering boasts a range of impressive features and specifications.
Design Highlights:
The Apache RTR 310 showcases an aggressive and sporty design. Its aesthetics include split LED headlights, a sharp fuel tank with shrouds, a distinctive two-piece seat, and an elevated tail section. The exhaust design is reminiscent of the Apache RR 310, while the bike features a single-piece tubular handlebar and slightly rear-set footpegs. Despite its sporty appearance, the rider’s posture remains upright and engaging.
Powerful Engine:
Under the hood, the Apache RTR 310 houses the same robust 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as its faired sibling, the RR 310. This powerhouse generates an impressive 35bhp at 9700rpm and 28.7Nm at 6650rpm, paired with a responsive six-speed gearbox. The bike also benefits from a slipper-and-assist clutch and boasts a claimed top speed of 150kmph.

Advanced Hardware:
TVS has enhanced the bike’s chassis, equipping it with USD front forks and a monoshock, both featuring adjustments for preload, compression, and rebound. The Apache RTR 310 relies on a reliable braking system comprising a single front disc and a single rear disc, complemented by dual-channel ABS. These components are fitted on 17-inch wheels with dual compound radial tires.
Feature-Packed Ride:
The Apache RTR 310 doesn’t skimp on features. It boasts full LED lighting and a fully digital TFT screen, complete with GoPro connectivity. The screen provides essential information such as speed, odometer readings, trip data, fuel levels, gear position, and temperature. Additionally, it offers smartphone connectivity for call and SMS notifications, document storage, and more. The bike comes equipped with ABS, side stand cut-off, ride modes, climate control seats, a six-axis IMU unit for cornering assistance, tyre pressure monitoring, and a bi-directional quickshifter.
Pricing and Competition:
The TVS Apache RTR 310 is priced at Rs. 2.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes with the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, and KTM 250 Duke in the Indian market, with the latest generation of the 390 Duke from KTM set to launch soon.
