Hyundai Tucson is a premium SUV by the Korean manufacturers. The Tucson has scored 30.84 out of 32 points in adult occupant protection and 41 points out of 49 for the child occupant protection. The Tucson is the Hyundai’s first vehicle which is tested by Bharat NCAP. It is tested for the front offset deformable barrier, side pole impact and side movable barrier.

Hyundai Tucson: Specs & Safety Features

The Hyundai Tucson features a very bold and futuristic look. it has a very sporty front grille, swept-back headlight setup. It is a premium SUV that comes with a very extensive feature list. The standard safety features in Tucson includes: 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill assist , hill descent control, ISOFIX child seats, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, vehicle stability control and blind spot monitor.

The Hyundai Tucson is available with two engine options- a 2.0 litre petrol engine which produces 153 bhp of power and a peak torque of 192 nm. However it comes paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. A 2.0 Litre diesel engine which belts out 184 bhp of power and a peak torque of 416 nm. It comes along with a 8-speed automatic transmission. It is 4360 mm in height, 1865 mm in width and 1665 mm in height. The wheel base remains to be at 2755 mm.

Hyundai Tucson : Pricing & Competitors

The Hyundai Tucson is available at a price of Rs 29.02 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes upto Rs 35.94 lakh (ex-showroom). It directly competes with the Volkswagen Tiguan, Citroen C5 Aircross and Jeep Compass. There are only few vehicles which have earned 5-star safety ratings. These include Tata Safari, Harrier, Nexon, Punch, curvv ev, Punch ev , Nexon ev, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Mahindra Thar and Mahindra XUV 400.
