The increasing interest of riders and commuters in the 350 – 400 cc segment has brought the manufacturers to bring in their A- game and launch into the market new entrants that would be able to uphold the sales stakes in the segment. Triumph has been planning to launch a new iteration of their Cafe Racer Style bike that would be based on the speed 400. While there have been a slew of updates about the overall development of the biker, a recent update the bike has revealed the bike being tested.
This time around the bike was being tested bereft of any camouflage and showcased the overall changes of the new chassis clearly. Triumph and Bajaj communion have spawned a few commendable bikes earlier as well , these included the Speed 400, Scrambler 400X and Speed T4. The engine that the Thruxton uses would be similar to that one that we have seen on other bikes already.
Would the Bike Be able To Improve on These Aspects
Since the bike would be using the same engine that we have seen on previous bikes from the brand, here are a few demerits that Triumph should work on, improvements on these aspects would ensure that the new bike would help the brand reach an overall improvement in quality advance forward and help consumers walk ahead of the competitors. Since the speed ( the bike Thruxton would be loosely based on ) was widely reviewed here are a few of the aspects that users found troublesome.
Reviewers unanimously complained about the brake and clutch levers that were un-adjustable, although the bikes brakes and clutch were lighter to use but being adjustable would surely help the bike be more adaptable to different kinds of riders. Beyond that one of the most widely reported issues was that the maintenance and service of the bike had been left in the hands of Bajaj. While Bajaj has been planning to revamp its image and advance towards more advanced bikes, managing the service and maintenance of Triumph’s slew of bikes could be a bit much for the Bajaj’s crew who are much more used to working on much more simple commuter class bikes. May be some improvements in that dynamic would help the riders. Comparison with Royal Enfield
