New Delhi: Both these bikes are Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X. Both these bikes have already been introduced in the global markets. Let’s take a look at the features and price of these upcoming bikes.
Engine
Both the bikes will be powered by a new TR-series engine. This engine is a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit with 398.15 cubic power.
The engine is capable of producing 39.5 bhp power at 8,000 rpm, along with a peak torque output of 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch.
Braking system
Tires are an important part of any vehicle. In such a situation, if we talk about the tires found in both these bikes, then the Speed 400 will get 17-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear. These will be offered with road-biased tyres.
Whereas, the Scrambler 400 X will come with dual purpose tyres. Its front alloy will be 19-inch while the rear will be 17-inch. For safety, both the motorcycles get rear disc brakes. These discs measure 230mm.
Color options and price
Both the motorcycles will be available in three different color options. The Speed 400 will come in Carnival Red with Phantom Black, Capetian Blue with Storm Gray and Phantom Black with Storm Gray. Whereas, the Scrambler 400X will be available in Fusion White with Matte Khaki Green, Phantom Black with Carnival Red and Silver Ice with Phantom Black.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the Speed 400 is likely to be priced at Rs 2.9 lakh while the Scrambler 400X could be priced at Rs 3.2 lakh (both ex-showroom). At present, the company has not officially informed about its price. The exact price will be known after the launch.
