Toyota has been the go-to name for anyone planning to buy a SUV above Rs 50 Lakhs in the Indian Market. The brand has long been the sole choice for users who sought an off-roading capable vehicle that could also provide them with luxury and comfort. But the brand now seemingly wants to diversify and bring in new competitors that would compete with SUVs from different segments.
As per a recent tweet by Toyota Japan the New RAV 4 is about to break cover tomorrow in a world premiere. The Rav 4 has been a global icon for users who seek an SUV that is capable of off-roading and adventure. while the slew of latest photos that Toyota has shared on X have revealed the car being able to take on hardcore off-roading with ease while tackling the everyday mundane duties with ease as well.
New Styling Accents
While the teaser images have showcased the car that would break cover soon, it does not reveal the final design of the vehicle. The car has the same styling accents as that of the Prius and the Camry that were revealed before. The Front Fascia of the car features a C-shaped LED headlights, a high bonnet line and aggressive wheel arches that give the vehicle a much more pleasing aesthetic. Its possible that Toyota might give the vehicle variant specific styling. A few variants that have been poised towards off-roading would be given styling cues that would include added plastic cladding along with add ons such as transfer case protection and engine sump protection as well.
Updated Powertrains
The Rav 4’s slashed price has been a result of the car being based on the TNGA-K Architecture, the same that underpins the highlander and the Camry. The Engine options of the new vehicle would possibly include a 2.5 Litre Hybrid, A 2.5Litre NA engine with 204Ps of power and a Enhanced Plug in Hybrid as well. While a slew of reports have revealed that the car could be launched with in the 25 lakh range, we doubt it, as Toyota itself has made no claims regarding the launch as well as the price of the vehicle in India.
While the unveiling has been dubbed as a global launch , the possibility of the vehicle to be launched in India is still uncertain, as beyond the tweeted images Toyota has made no announcement about the launch of the vehicle in India. While a few days back a slew of Rav 4 along with Land Cruiser Prado were also seen being transported In India. Toyota has revealed no update regarding the launch on the Rav 4 in India.
