Anticipated to hit the market with an ex-showroom price ranging from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 16 lakh, this 5-seater is expected to offer an impressive mileage of up to 20 kmpl. Having made its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo, glimpses of its testing phase recently made waves on social media platforms.
A Stint in the SUV Segment
Toyota’s new venture, the Taisor, has been in the making for a while. Notably, the company recently launched its Urban Cruiser Hyrider in South Africa, hinting at the impending Indian launch. Although the official release date remains undisclosed, speculations point to a 2024 debut. Positioned as a coupe car within Toyota’s SUV range, it promises a comfortable ride and indulgent features for passengers. Based on the Maruti Frontex, this collaborative venture between Toyota and Maruti aims to fill the gap left by the discontinued Toyota Yaris Cross.

Reports suggest the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor might house a 1.2-liter petrol engine with an optional turbo variant. Expect both manual and automatic transmission options. The car is projected to offer an array of features, including an electric sunroof, anti-lock braking system, multi-spoke design alloy wheels, a 360-degree camera, wireless connectivity, touchscreen infotainment, cruise control, and electronic stability control. Available with 5-speed and 6-speed gearboxes, the turbo engine could generate 110 PS power and 148 Nm torque.
