While precise pricing remains undisclosed, it is anticipated to slightly surpass the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga’s range. Currently, the Ertiga is priced between Rs 8.64 lakh and Rs 13.08 lakh (ex-showroom). The Rumion has undergone subtle cosmetic enhancements, adding a touch of uniqueness to the vehicle. Sporting a distinct grille inspired by the Innova, the front bumper showcases chrome surrounds for the air dam. Shifting the focus to the side profile, the alloy wheels boast a two-tone machined finish, representing a notable alteration. Changes at the rear are expected to include a chrome garnish, providing a balanced design transformation.

Power, Transmission, and Fuel Efficiency

The Rumion is set to offer two robust powertrains: petrol and CNG. Both are powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This powerhouse delivers an impressive 101 bhp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 136.8 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The CNG mode sees a power reduction to 86.63 bhp at 5,500 rpm and a torque peak at 4,200 rpm. Both powertrains incorporate a standard 5-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol variant also provides the option of a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Toyota boasts a fuel efficiency of 20.51 kmpl for the petrol version and 26.11 kmpl for the CNG variant.

Toyota’s Vision and Expectations

Atul Sood, Vice President – Sales & Strategic Marketing at TKM, expressed enthusiasm regarding the launch of the Toyota Rumion. Highlighting its spacious design, fuel efficiency, and sophisticated exterior, Sood emphasized Toyota’s commitment to delivering both an exceptional product and an exceptional ownership experience. With the festive season upon us, the launch aims to cater to evolving needs, ensuring affordability, comfort, convenience, and customer satisfaction. Sood’s optimism remains high, anticipating that the Toyota Rumion will pave the way for memorable journeys ahead.
