Toyota Rumion MPV: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has unveiled its latest offering for the Indian market – the Toyota Rumion MPV. This new vehicle takes inspiration from the popular Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and has garnered attention for its rebadged version. With Toyota’s legacy and Ertiga’s popularity, the Rumion MPV is poised to make a notable impact. Although the price and booking details are yet to be revealed by Toyota, the Rumion is already making waves in international markets.
Unveiling Variants, Pricing, and Warranty Information
The Toyota Rumion MPV will make its debut in six distinctive variants: S MT/AT, G MT, V MT/AT, and S MT CNG. While precise pricing remains undisclosed, it is anticipated to slightly surpass the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga’s range. Currently, the Ertiga is priced between Rs 8.64 lakh and Rs 13.08 lakh (ex-showroom). Embracing Toyota’s commitment to quality, the Rumion comes with a standard warranty spanning 3 years or 1,00,000 kilometres.
Distinctive Look and Thoughtful Design Elements
The Rumion has undergone subtle cosmetic enhancements, adding a touch of uniqueness to the vehicle. Sporting a distinct grille inspired by the Innova, the front bumper showcases chrome surrounds for the air dam. Shifting the focus to the side profile, the alloy wheels boast a two-tone machined finish, representing a notable alteration. Changes at the rear are expected to include a chrome garnish, providing a balanced design transformation.
Power, Transmission, and Fuel Efficiency
The Rumion is set to offer two robust powertrains: petrol and CNG. Both are powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This powerhouse delivers an impressive 101 bhp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 136.8 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The CNG mode sees a power reduction to 86.63 bhp at 5,500 rpm and a torque peak at 4,200 rpm. Both powertrains incorporate a standard 5-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol variant also provides the option of a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Toyota boasts a fuel efficiency of 20.51 kmpl for the petrol version and 26.11 kmpl for the CNG variant.
