Toyota Raize: The demand for compact SUVs is increasing rapidly in India. Today every company is selling its cars in this segment. On the other hand, Toyota, the Japanese car manufacturer known for its reliability, has not shown anything special in this segment till now.
In such a situation, now the company is preparing to launch its new compact SUV, Toyota Raize in the Indian market. Toyota has recently registered two trademarks in India – Raize and Raize Space.
Although Toyota Raize SUV is already being sold in the global market, if reports are to be believed, then in India, it can be based on the platform of Suzuki Brezza.
Toyota was earlier selling the Urban Cruiser compact SUV in this segment, which was based on the Suzuki Brezza. But due to low sales, the company discontinued it in November last year.
Toyota Raize design, colours
Toyota Raize could get a bigger front grille, new bumper, redesigned alloy wheels and a completely new rear section. Toyota can present the car with new colours and equipment.
Toyota’s new SUV is supposed to have five seats and black interiors. However, Toyota is anticipated to produce not only the 5-seater variant but also a 7-seater model in India.
As a result, the name Raize Space appears to be registered as well. The Raize Space is the name given to the 7-seater variation.
Toyota Raize specifications
Toyota Raize is rumoured to be powered by a potent 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. This engine will most likely be paired with a CVT automatic transmission. It can get the option of a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.
Toyota Raize’s engine is expected to produce 98 bhp and 140 Nm of peak torque. Along with this, a CNG option can also be offered to compete with Suzuki’s Brezza.
Toyota Raize launch date, price
Toyota has only registered the Raize trademark in the Indian market as of now. The company has not released any formal information about its launch.
Vehicle manufacturers frequently register trademarks in order to secure a car model in the market. In such a case, the car’s release is contingent on the company’s plans for that market.
Toyota Raize is expected to be priced in the segment of Rs 9 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.
