The New Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is all set to be launched in India. A few new leaks that have been doing rounds over the internet showcased the car being transported in India under wraps. As per a new video in which teh car was spotted
The possible launch had been talked about previously as well. The car is expected to launch in the second half of the 2025 season, the SUV made its global appearance last year and would possibly be introduced soon in the international markets slowly.
New Launch To Place Prado Under LC 300
The Land Cruiser Prado is also sold under the moniker of Land Cruiser 250 in certain markets. For India The car would maintain a the moniker of land cruiser Prado. The car is based on a ladder frame chassis and as per the new details the new chassis would supposedly be 50% more lighter than that of its predecessor. Beyond that the car would be made about 30% stiffer.
New Dynamics’
The car is slightly bigger than the older version and beyond more room the car incorporates more driver aids and features. The car has multi zone climate control, and a lot of the switch gear has been shared with that of the Land Cruiser 300. Wrap around infotainment display, and a new infotainment display would be few of the new features that the car would have.
New Off-roading Systems
As per Toyota the car would have new and enhanced off Roading features such as Increased wheel articulation, Multi terrain monitoring. One of the biggest innovation would be the disconnecting of anti roll bars, which can be dis-engaged via a switch on the dash. This would allow the car much better wheel articulation than any of the others in the range.
Engine Specs For The New Prado
For the Indian market the car would be delivered with a 2.5 litre Diesel engine, that powers the Fortuner SUV in India. The Engine would be mated to a 8 speed automatic transmission. Beyond the new Prado there have been reports of Toyota testing anew Hilux with a48 V MEHV mild Hybrid system that would help the vehicle be more economical.
In some markets the vehicle is already being offered with a 2.4 litre petrol engine with a Hybrid powertrain. this engine powers a few Toyota’s around the world. The car would be introduced as a CBU import, more details would be out soon.
