New Delhi: Toyota Indonesia has released the first teaser for the new generation Innova, which will be known as Innova Hycross in India. This is the new generation after a long wait for this MPV which will see major changes. Its interesting design makes it appear as a crossover. This new Innova Highcross looks like an SUV.
Design
A large hexagonal grille is seen at the bottom of the bumper, while the headlamp design itself feels quite premium. Looking at the design of the bonnet and bumper, it is known that the new Innova will get an SUV-like look and the rest of its design will also be much bigger than the current version. Compared to the current Innova Crysta, the new Innova Hycross will look bigger like an SUV with a new tail-lamp design.
Powertrain
Also, a major change in this is that the new Innova Hycross will be based on the TNGA-C platform and will no longer see the old ladder-frame platform. It will be a front wheel drive car with a hybrid powertrain. To increase the mileage, a 2.0-litre petrol engine will be used with the electric motor in the hybrid Innova Hycross.
Interior
The interiors will be very luxurious as well as equipped with a lot of technology and comfortable. The new Innova Hycross will be launched in India after Indonesia and is expected to be introduced in India soon.
The new Innova Hicross will be more premium and luxury this time around. Whereas for the first time it will not be available with a diesel engine like the current Crysta. Toyota clearly sees its future products as a hybrid future. In which many upcoming models are expected to be equipped with this technology. The Hyrcross will be one of the biggest cars post launch. Being positioned slightly above the current Innova Crysta, the company will be a premium product.
