New Delhi: Toyota has recently launched the new Innova Genix in Indonesia. This model has been introduced in India with some changes under the name Innova Highcross, which will be made available for sale in January 2023. The new Hycross will be sold alongside the Innova Crysta. Not only this, now the electric version of Toyota Innova MPV has been spotted during testing. That is, the company is planning to launch the electric version of its popular MPV. However, this is nothing new. In fact, Toyota showcased the Innova EV concept at the Indonesia International Motor Show earlier this year, after which talks about its electric version were doing the rounds. Now the electric MPV has been spotted testing on the Indonesian roads for the first time.

According to media reports, the Innova EV concept is not based on the new Zenix/Hycross but is based on the Innova Crysta sold in the Indian market. The silhouette of the Innova Electric is almost identical to that of the Crysta. Toyota has added some EV design elements to it. The front fascia gets a blacked-out grille and an all-new front bumper. The blue color is visible on the headlamp setup and logo.
The front bumper houses the vertically positioned fog lamp housings. It will get new alloy wheels. Also, blue graphics have been given on the body to highlight its electric version. The interior of the Innova Electric can be similar to the ICE version. It can get a touchscreen infotainment system, 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, analog instrument console with blue graphics.
