New Delhi: The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the all-new mid-size SUV from the Japanese automaker, has finally gone on sale in India. Here, the model will take on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Toyota Hyryderthe soon-to-be-launched Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

Interestingly, we have the prices of four top variants of Toyota Hyryder including V mild hybrid, S strong hybrid, G strong hybrid and V strong hybrid. All the above models are available at Rs 17.09 lakh, Rs 15.11 lakh, Rs 17.49 lakh and Rs 18.99 lakh.

Compared to its arch rival – the Hyundai Creta, the Toyota Hyryder was priced very well.

Prices for the top-end Creta petrol trims (SX, SX+) start from Rs 13.59 lakh and go up to Rs 18.15 lakh. It should be noted that the Hyundai SUV lacks an AWD (all-wheel drive) system. On the other hand, the top petrol mild hybrid variant of Hyryder comes with all-wheel drive and manual transmission.

In terms of features, the top variant of the Toyota Hyryder offers features like panoramic sunroof (standard), 360-degree camera, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seats, driver modes (AWD only). Also arkamys surround sound system, hill descent control (AWD only ) and a tire pressure monitoring system (strong hybrid only) is also included.

The top-end Hyundai Creta SX (O) comes with 7.0-inch instrument cluster, 8-speaker Bose sound system, leather upholstery, auto-dimming interior mirror, remote engine start stop, power driver’s seat, front ventilated seats.

Height-adjustable front seat belts and 6 airbags. The Creta SX (O) variants are available with a 1.5 L petrol engine, a 1.4 L turbo petrol engine and a 1.5 L diesel engine. There is no hybrid powertrain.

The Toyota Hyryder was offered with optional 1.5 L TNGA Atkinson Cycle (114 hp) and 1.5 L K15C mild hybrid (103 hp) power units. The powerful hybrid setup delivers a claimed mileage of 27.97 kmpl. The petrol Hyundai Creta, on the other hand, promises a fuel consumption of 17 km/l.
