Electric Cars In India Under 10 Lakhs
Tata Tiago EV
The Tata Tiago EV was launched in 2022 and comes with two powertrain options. While the medium-range variant features a 19.2kWh battery and delivers 61PS of power and 110Nm of torque, the long-range model gets a 24kWh pack and makes 75PS of power and 114Nm of torque. As per the Modified Indian Test Cycle (MIDC), the medium-range Tiago EV offers a range of 250km on a single charge, while the second option provides 315km.
The good news for the potential buyers is that the Tata Tiago EV received a price cut in February 2024 and its base variant now costs Rs. 8.0 lakh (ex-showroom). The top variant is priced at Rs. 11.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and it also gets a 7.2kW home charger.
MG Comet EV
A 17.3kWh battery pack powers the rear-mounted electric motor of the MG Comet EV, which in turn delivers 42PS of power and 110Nm of torque. The claimed range offered by this EV is 230km on a single charge, while a 3.3kW AC charger tops up the battery from 0-100% in 7 hours. There is no DC fast charging available though. Available in three variants: Pace, Play and Plush, the MG Comet EV too got a price drop in February 2024. It now comes with a price tag of Rs 6.99 lakh and this goes up to Rs 8.58 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Tigor EV
Tata Tigor electric car, which was introduced in 2021, is the second mass-market EV from the brand. Packing a 26kWh battery, the Tata Tigor EV churns out 74.7PS of power and 170Nm of torque and offers a claimed range of 315km. The prices of the Tigor electric car range between Rs 12.50 lakh to Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom).

Citroen eC3
The Citroen eC3 features a 29.2kWh air-cooled battery pack which send power to the front-mounted electric motor, which makes 57PS of power and 143Nm of torque. A 3.3kW AC home charger can fully charge the eC3 in 10.5 hours, while the battery gets juiced up from 10% to 80% in 57 minutes using a DC fast charger. Available in two variants, this electric car costs Rs 11.61 lakh for the base variant and Rs 13.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec trim.
Tata Punch EV
The Tata Punch EV was launched in January 2024 and became one of the most popular electric cars in the country in no time. Offered in 5 medium-range and 3 long-range variants, the Punch EV’s prices start from Rs 10.99 lakh and go up to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
