Three Wheeler Sales On The Rise: Retail Sales as reported by FADA, reflect positive momentum, For three Wheeler sales in India appear to be climbing 5.5 % during the period. The growth is being attributed to robust demand for passenger carriers, which saw a 9.3% reaching 5,51,880 units over time. Beyond these numbers, previous reports had already predicted the upward trend that would have resulted in such an outcome. Industry Experts had forecasted a 5-8% expansion in FY25.

Beyond these numbers, the passenger vehicle segment had showcased a 4.2 % growth in the 2024 calendar year with a rise to 4.3 Million Units, the highest ever on the back of SUV sales. The sales rose up by 17% to 2.7 Million units while passenger cars dipped by 14.4% to 1.37 Million units during the financial year.
Before equating to such figures, the segment had showcased profound numbers in the month of December too, When passenger vehicles Grew by 11.4% as several OEM’s Continued with their festive discounts and kept on Focusing on liquidating before the start of 2025. Three-wheelers at that time reported a modest growth of 3.5%. As far as the October -December quarter goes, PV post a 4.5% growth, Two Wheelers grew by3% and Commercial vehicles registered a modest growth of 1.2%. The older reports had reported that Scooters posted a growth trend of 19.7 % to 66,75,231 units while Motorcycles grew by almost 12%. Beyond all of these MHCV’s , passenger carriers stood strong with 33.5% growth while light commercial vehicles saw a 2.4% decline.
