Super cars often trade practicality for performance and acceleration. The result of all such modification is mostly a temperamental drive from the supercars when they are driven in day to day traffic. There have been several cases of supercars catching fire due to extreme heat they develop while being driven in the city limits In India. But Beyond that this new Lamborghini is highly susceptible to spontaneous fire as has been revealed by the manufacturer themselves.
As per a recent news a latest recall has been initiated by NHSTA-(recall campaign number 24V945000) due to the oil potentially leaking from an connection flange apart of the engine oil circuit.
Lamborghini has revealed an official statement where they have acknowledged that the screws that hold the oil circuit flange together might have been tightened improperly during the production of the vehicle. The oil leak in the proximity of an ignition can cause an engine fire. As of yet only two reports of V-12 plug in Hybird supercar have been reported to be affected in .U.S. Both of them were 2024 models.
How Lamborghini Grew Aware of the Problem
Lamborghini showcased cognizance of the matter after a Revuleto caught fire in New York last year. No passengers were injured in the accident. Lamborghini has shared that they are unaware of any such incident that might have happened.
Lamborghini Shares Maintenance Plans
Lamborghini has shared how the remedy is a close inspection of the flange screws. the Service dealers would so so free of charge. Lamborghini has shared the information via notification letters that would be mailed to all the owners effectively.
Lamborghini Revuelto
The Revuelto was brought in to exchange the Lamborghini Aventador. The vehicle represents a completely new ideology that Lamborghini wants to adhere to in the future. The car is based on a Carbon fiber Tub that has a 8 speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The V-12 that ahs been used in the vehicle is a 6.5 liter which works with trip electric motors to generate a combined 1000 hp. the car can reach the speed of 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds.
In Recent Past
In recent past a Lamborghini Huracan had caught on fire in Mumbai. The Lamborghini Huracan burned to a char in front of the bystanders. Gautam Singhania ( Managing Director Raymond ) spotted the vehicle that caught fire. Often such cases are witnessed in Summers as super cars often run hot when being driven about with in the city limits. But it’s the first time such an incident has come across during the winter season.
Gautam Singhania wrote below the video posted by him
“A Lamborghini engulfed in flames on Coastal Road, Mumbai. Incidents like this raise serious concerns about the reliability and safety standards of Lamborghini. For the price and reputation, one expects uncompromising quality—not potential hazards.”
The owner of the vehicle was seen standing near the vehicle with a fire extinguisher in hand , even after using the extinguisher the fire could not be extinguished. The owner must have witnessed something unusual about the vehicle performance while driving that he stopped on the side of the road and got out to inspect the vehicle from the outside
Towards the end of the video its visible that a fire erupts in the engine compartment of the vehicle. Although the driver was trying his best to contain the fire but it seemed to have been erupting from the engine compartment and could not be tamed. Although the scenario can be directly linked to the issue at hand but the car that caught fire in India was a Huracan rather than a Revuelto.
